What we provide
Calculators, reference tables and researched buying guidance for fishing electronics and boat rigging, free to use and with no account required. We may change, move or remove any of it at any time.

You may not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other readers, republish substantial portions of it as your own, or present our calculations as though they were yours. If you want to cite a figure, cite it and link the page.

We work hard on accuracy and we still make mistakes. Everything here is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Figures described as rules of thumb are convention rather than published standards and are labelled as such. Verify every figure against your own equipment ratings and manuals before acting on it. Nothing here is professional marine electrical, safety or navigational advice. Marine electrical work you are not confident about is work for a qualified marine electrician. Your own capacity plate, manuals and applicable regulations govern.
